The Shure MV7+ is the update to the MV7 USB podcast microphone. Shure added an extended windscreen for a better look, closer to the windscreen of the SM7B and it provides an air gap for added plosive protection. They also updated the USB port from microUSB to USBC. The touch panel was updated to include a single led light that can be customized and also actives the mute switch when using USB.

On the inside of the microphone, when using USB, you have access to many of the same digital signal processing (DSP) features like a limiter, tone and EQ controls, and compression but they added a popper stopper for more plosive rejection and the best feature, realtime denoise! This features works great and will allow you to stream or record in less than perfect environments, removing ground floor noise like heating and air conditioning as well as computer fans.

This mic. is for those who are looking for their first microphone or upgrading from a lesser mic. and want something close to an SM7B without all the additional costs.

They've also introduced the new MotivMix app that allows you to control all the DSP features of the microphone as well as record multitrack audio inside the app and use it as a virtual mixer. I walk you through all the features starting at 16:00.
