Welcome to my Shin Megami Tensei 4 Analysis! Shin Megami Tensei 4 is the most popular game in the series and in this SMT 4 Analysis, I'm going to be reviewing Shin Megami Tensei IV. There will be story spoilers in this Shin Megami Tensei IV Review for Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne because I compare them to SMT 4. Shin Megami Tensei IV Aging like Win is just my own opinion on Shin Megami Tensei IV. If you disagree with me, that's okay. This Shin Megami Tensei 4 analysis is a followup to my Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne analysis, so make sure you watch that as well. Shin Megami Tensei IV Aging like Wine is the best video I've made.

So the last time we were here, I talked about what made Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne stand out amongst its peers. It was a great game in my opinion and is what I consider to be the best mainline installment. However, due to the low sales of Nocturne, it wouldn’t be until 2013 when we would finally get the next numbered installment. Shin Megami Tensei 4 was released for the Nintendo 3ds where it was met with high praise for both critics and fans alike. To this day it’s one of the most popular entries in the franchise and was a lot of people’s first exposure to mainline SMT, myself included. While I didn’t play the game at launch, I picked it up not too long after my first playthrough of Persona 5 back in 2017. I remember really enjoying myself and it acted as a gateway for me to experience the rest of what the series has to offer. But I will admit, it has been quite a few years since my last playthrough of this game, and with Shin Megami Tensei 5 just on the horizon, there’s no better time than now to take another look at SMT 4 and see if any of my thoughts have changed. There are going to be major spoilers throughout this video. I’m going to be discussing both the plot and the alignments in detail. So if you don’t want to be spoiled, then click off the video now and come back once you’ve played the game yourself. With that out of the way, let’s get started.
