Who makes the best reel in the world? The answers may differ depending on whether you are a Shimano guy or a Daiwa fanatic. Fans of the two sides will be forever debating on this and hardly will they ever reach a "peace agreement".
In this video, I have no intension to start another "who is better" type of topic. Rather, I'd like to share some interesting findings I made by looking at both companies' history in the past 23 years. Distinct promotion patterns of new reels from the two top brands translates to some key differences in the way they carry out R&D and the way they treat their customers.
