In this video (#4) I hope to give you a new perspective of sawing vs. shearing.
If you have ever worked with wood products, you inevitably used a saw and created saw dust. With that you may already have an understanding of loss of length with each cut you make.... i.e. the amount of sawdust you have to clean up afterwards. When working with metal products... the shearing, cutting, or hole punching is more of a stretching the material to its breaking point. Little to no loss of length.
Tools used in demonstration:
Straight Snips
Green (left) Snips
Red (right) Snips
Whitney Punch #8
Also I recorded the video with a new phone. The video looks amazing on my phone but after uploading it.... Its looks too bright and washed out. I do realize my error and have since corrected it. My next video will be better.
I keep learning something new everyday. Thank you for watching.
