Shawn James of My Self Reliance Shares His Secrets while in Baird Country (Podcast Ep.#1)

In this one, I ask Shawn how he got into the outdoors, what his journey was like and when he decided he just had to make his passion for the outdoors his life. We're talking about a guy with an extremely good work ethic here. As a long time friend of Shawn's I tried to get to the bottom of his mid set and asked him what goes through his head when he manages to get outside in temps as low as 30 to work at the physically demanding job of hauling large logs around to build the remote cabin he lives at for much of the year.

Shawn shares some insights into what motivates him and also talks about some of the intricacies and challenges of building a cabin using all hand tools. Naturally, we talk about the outdoors, Hunting, Fishing, Canoeing and camping too, and share some skills and tips that will amp up your next trip.
