Kicking off the new year at the Severn Valley Railway, with a large number of the railway's home fleet locos staring at the 2024 Winter Steam Gala. This gala marked the final appearance of 'The Flying Pig', LMS Ivatt 4MT 43106, before expiry of the locomotive's boiler certificate, in addition to the first gala appearance of recently overhauled LMS Stanier Mogul 2968, which entered traffic in December 2023 during the Santa Special season. 2968 currently appears in LMS Unlined Black livery, with lining of the loco to commence over the following weeks.
