Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), which means to dream, design, and enjoy, is a complex cultural space located in Dongdaemun, Seoul. Since its opening on March 21, 2014, it has been holding large exhibitions, fashion shows, new product presentations, forums and conferences. It was divided into notification sites, learning sites, residential sites, DDP design museums, design marketplaces and Oulim Plaza, and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park. At the notification site, Seoul Fashion Week, MAMA (Met Asian Music Awards), Vancliffe Appel Exhibition, and BMW New Car Presentation were held, and it was equipped with an international conference hall facility, a multipurpose banquet space. It is a learning site where BTS theme exhibitions and the Seoul Urban Architecture Biennale were held, and a residential site that introduces Dforest, which opened in 2019 under the theme of Where Everyone Becomes a Designer, and a residential site that encompasses DDPrelated souvenirs, which is suitable for its size, encourages visitors' interest. Design marketplaces with restaurants, bakeries, and cafes are also walking courses that satisfy families and lovers who expect to recharge their emotions.

Architect Zaha Hadid designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza and said, "We have created a space where natural objects and artifacts are connected seamlessly with a unique architectural language consisting of curves, curved surfaces, diagonal lines, and slopes, paying attention to the dynamism of Dongdaemun that constantly changes from early morning to nightfall." The true value of the dynamic that adds curves is revealed when you focus solely on the building after sunset lights are turned on.
