One of the gardening goals is to get better at succession planting. Two obstacles in the past have been challenges with direct sowing and seed starting. Too often we lose direct sowed plants to over eager pests that mow them down just as they sprout. Sowing plants in starter containers is a more sure method to grow plants vigorous enough to have a chance against bugs. However, that process is often a chore and a mental block towards achieving our goal.

Looking for a quick and easy way to start our seeds and to transplant our subsequent plants, we look hopefully to using egg cartons.
