This is day 3 of extreme belowfreezing temps, and ours are doing GREAT!! We're thrilled, because we were all very worried as we rarely get extreme belowfreezing weather, and it rarely lasts more than a few days. Starting Thurs, temps dropped to 16C (3F) and will stay below freezing until Tuesday.

Over the last few weeks, we've worked to create and continually improve several insulated nests and little nooks like this one, that protect them from the 50km/hr wind gusts, and are thankfully warming up a bit when the sun is out. As you can see from this afternoon's clips, we even hit 0C / 32F for a few hours, and the cats were LOVING it!

And we even spotted our Bramble friend Mark waving to the camera last night when he was out in 13C putting new hand warmers into the nests so our cats had heat sources throughout the night.

We're very grateful to have such wonderful property owners, caretakers and colony volunteers making sure the cats we all love so much are safe and comfortable yearround, in all weather.
