First, an epic challenge for metal maestro Dominic Chinea, when Liz Draper from Dorset delivers a crumbling, castiron garden gate. The gate was designed and built by her brother as a gift for Liz and her late husband, Ken. Ken was an army man and proud member of The Royal Lancers and the gate's design incorporates his regiment's badge. The couple loved the gate and now Ken's gone, it provides a real connection to the love of her life and it saddens Liz to see it in its current condition. Dom has his work cut out salvaging what he can from the original iron and heads to the forge to replicate the unique design for the sections that are too eroded to save. He then gives it several coats of paint, to protect it from the elements and accentuates the regimental crown and feathers details with gold and white. Liz cannot thank Dom enough for transforming the gate that symbolises so much for her. Next into the barn is a century old watch, with an extraordinary tale of lost and found. Horologist Steve Fletcher and leather expert Suzie Fletcher greet Nancy Dyer and her daughter Liz Spyvee and pledge to restore the fortunes of this precious momento. The wrist watch was awarded to Nancy's father for bravery on his return from the Great War and was proudly worn by Nancy at special family occasions, until it was stolen during a burglary at her house. The family were understandably distraught and gave up hope of ever seeing it again. But eight years later the watch was miraculously rediscovered in a field by a dog walker! The watch is in a terrible condition – rigid with rust, after years lurking under a bush but if anyone can get it ticking again it's Steve. He carefully tends to the minute workings of the mechanism, rescuing what he can and sourcing rare donor parts. While sister Suzie comes up with an ingenious way of incorporating the original tattered wrist strap within a new design in the finest new leather. Nancy and Liz return to the barn to be reunited with the watch for the second time. And arcade ace Geoff Harvey ensures it's smiles all round when he restores a vintage penny arcade game. Ruth Banks and her Auntie Roz from Sheffield deliver the 1920s gaming machine. It belongs to Ruth's father, Stephen and they know how much he'd love to play with it again for old times sake. Geoff opens it up and gets to work on the mechanism, oiling and readjusting in all the right places. Woodwork restorer Will Kirk takes on the damaged wooden cabinet and it's returned to Stephen and his family ready for someone to try their luck!
