Scudder’s Falls Bridge (Westbound)

Follow
Andrew’s Station

Riding over the Scudder's Falls Bridge, a toll bridge that carries Interstate 295 over the Delaware River between Ewing, New Jersey and Lower Makefield, Pennsylvania. It was originally a tollfree bridge with a plategirder design completed in 1961. Nearly six decades later, the bridge was rebuilt and widened to include eight lanes of traffic and now requires westbound vehicles to pay a toll (EZ Pass or tollbyplate). Eastbound crossings are free. The reconstructed Scudder's Falls Bridge opened in July 2019. In 2021, a pedestrian/bicycle walkway was opened on the upstream side of the bridge, the only one on the NJ/PA section of the Delaware River.
