Scripps Aviary at the San Diego ZooAll the Birds. 4K Visit the Scripps aviary on this narrated tour, describing some of the history of the aviary and identifying the different bird species. The Scripps aviary has 37 species of African birds and we will see the majority on this tour. If you go to the aviary in person, it can be difficult to catch many of the different birds since there are so many places for them to stay that are off the path. This video was compiled after many different trips and much time spent hanging out waiting to see the different birds. This is a much more extensive tour than my original video.

4K video with natural bird sounds and intermittent music and narration.

The original aviary was built in 1923. It was redesigned in 1958 and then again in 1991. This is one of the largest and nicest aviaries at the San Diego zoo, but it probably takes the most patience to see the birds, an most will not be seen on a single visit. The aviary is located in Gorilla Tropics. It has several levels and multiple different entrances and exits.

The San Diego zoo is one of the most popular tourist destinations in San Diego and is arguably one of the best zoos in the world. For those who live in San Diego and love the zoo, I highly recommend an annual pass. The zoo is a great place to visit and the money all goes towards supporting the animals, the functions of the zoo, and the zoos conservation efforts.
