This is a video documentary of our first experience euthanizing a family pet. Recording video of this process was one of the most difficult things for me to do. Diane and I decided that is was important to share our personal experience with you to help you make your decision as to when it is time to say goodbye to your pet, and how to do it as compassionately as possible. Watching and editing two days of video clips was torturous. I was living this heartwrenching experience repeatedly. I cannot say how many tears I shed.

This video is long. But, I felt it important to include our final hours and walks with Shadow so that you can better understand her physical and cognitive condition, quality of life and why it was time to say goodbye to a member of our family and our best friend.
