Today we take care of my Cattleya type Orchid we discovered had a Scale insect problem.. and things are worse than I thought!

In the past I dealt with various common Orchid pests, but Scale insect wasn't a big problem.. until now. So here's an opportunity to see how to deal with them!

I am not a fan of pesticides with high toxicity levels, so I prefer milder approaches, even if they might need more attention to properly fix the problem. I use mineral oil solutions successfully. These can be purchased from dedicated stores, or DIY'ed in case none are available.
