After testing both the 20W and 10W Miwat LED Flood lights on our aquariums, we found that these super cheap alternatives work surprisingly well in the low to midlight requirement range. We discovered that the key to using these lights is all about the distance from the tank.

At first, we started with the 10W lights and tested them for a few days. While they provided enough light for the plants to grow, we weren't completely satisfied with the brightness. We then tried the 20W lights and were blown away by how bright they were. However, after a month, we started noticing algae growth on a few of our tanks due to the proximity of the lights.

To combat the algae growth, we went back to the 10W lights and tested them for the remaining month. Surprisingly, we found that the 10W lights created less algae growth than the 20W lights, while still providing ample light for the plants.

Overall, after our twomonth test, we concluded that these LED flood lights are a costeffective alternative to expensive commercial brand aquarium lights, and we were able to achieve explosive plant growth using them. We encourage you to play around with the wattage to find what works best for your aquarium, and we invite you to watch our video for more information and tips.
