SANTORINI SIGHTSEEING/ATTRACTIONS WE DID
Town of Fira (where we stayed)
The Old Port Fira (you can take cable car or walk down, boat cruises often depart from here)
Boat Tour to Nea Kameni Volcanic Island and Hot Springs (we booked through the travel agency "Santo Star" in the town of Fira about $25/pp for 3 hour tour)
Town of Oia (views of blue dome churches, windmills...)
Kamari Beach
Perissa Beach
Hike to Ancient Thera (moderate uphill, dirt path that you can begin by Perissa Beach)
Ancient Thera (admission is $6/pp for noneuropean adults 26+)
Akrotiri
Red Beach Akrotiri
Akrotiri Archaeological Site (admission to tour is $12/pp for noneuropean citizens 26+)

We utilized the public bus to get around. The main hub is in Fira, about a 5 minute walk from the hotel we stayed at. Easy to use, and can get crowded here. The bus was anywhere from 1.60€ to 2.20€ per person we found, and varied depending on where you were going. We also took the public bus from the airport to Fira, which is cheaper than getting a taxi.
