The other day I went over to Sanibel with the intention of walking the beach. When a rainstorm came along I changed my plans to driving down Donax to Middle Gulf Dr. and then on to West Gulf Drive. I hope this video will help those of you who vacation in this area an idea at how recovery is coming along after Hurricane Ian. Some buildings have been completely removed, the majority of debris is gone, and lots of work is being done rebuilding. All Sanibel beaches have reopened, Lighthouse beach having been the last one.
There's still such a long way to go, the majority of these buildings are not open for occupancy.
