Sandhead beach has been recommended to me by a number of people as a brilliant dog walk. You have easy access to the beach then you can switch off and wander for miles. Just you the sky, sea and sand.
My mind starts to wander to a night in 1957 and the West Freugh incident involving the MOD establishment adjoining the beach, which sparked rumours of UFO’s and aliens and other unexplained happenings in the area. Personally and Morag agrees, it could be down to the beer in the local hotel.

Nice easy walk if you keep of the shingle and don’t believe in Area 51
