Reluctantly, we leave the majestic forests of Queen Charlotte Sound for the big smoke. With a 2am departure for our cunning crossing of the capricious Cook Strait, we go from mill pond to confused tidal lumps to a stiff breeze sunrise sail, then venture into the artistic and culturally rich Windy Wellington, colloquially known as Wellywood .......ahhh PJ!
