MDC Series of safe exhaust (dump) valves with EEZON® (SoftStart) function for up to Category2, Performance Level c machine guarding applications

The safety function of the new ROSS® MDC Series valve is to shut off supply of pneumatic energy and to exhaust any pneumatic energy from downstream of the valve. The MDC Series safe exhaust valve includes the 3/2 normally closed function, single poppet design.

The MDC1 Series valve can be used up to Cat1 applications, while the MDC2 Series valve can be used up to Cat2 applications and is equipped with a pressure sensor that provides feedback to external controls for safe operation.

The EEZON® (SoftStart) function allows slower buildup of pressure during startup, supplying gradual startup of downstream work elements to help protect employees and equipment. The MDC Series valves are enhanced with a modular mounting design, allowing assembly with ROSS MD3 or MD4 FRLs for a convenient air entry system.

Additionally, these pending DGUV Certified valves will be included in the SISTEMA Library data available for download from the ROSS website.
