About:
Wally is a 1987 Winnebago Chieftain 22RC Motorhome.
He has a Chevrolet 454 Big Block Engine with 85,000 miles.
The engine & transmission are in excellent condition. Most of the repairs were age related. Hoses, belts, brakes, pads, tires, tuneup, oil change, transmission flush, radiator flush, etc. Anything that needed repairing was done. I also replaced the alternator, house & engine batteries, and just had the A/C compressor replaced.
There is also an original RV Onan Genset generator with around 850 hours, but after many failed attempts at trying to get it up and running, we decided it's just not worth the investment and we don't really require the need for a new one. Money pit anyone? My only regret. Insert sad face here. LOL!

Exterior:
I searched youtube on how to paint your own car. Many videos used Rustoleum Enamel High Gloss Paint. I purchased it at Home Depot. The great thing was that I could have the paint colors custom made. I searched google for old vintage RV paint styles and really got inspired by the Red, black, and white color scheme.
It was a labor of love and after 10 loooooong days, Wally had a nice fresh coat of paint.
I didn't mention in the video, but I also resealed the roof. I used Henry TropiCool White 100% Silicone Roof Coating. I did two coats.
A few of the windows had some minor leaks, but with some window sealant, that was easily corrected.
There was also some minor RV delamination, but after watching some DIY RV delamination repair videos, I was able to flatten out most of the bubbles. I did have it inspected for water damage, and the technician assured me that it was age related, not water damage related.
I also wanted to mention the Air Conditioner. It's the original Carrier Brand. I was told that Carrier AC doesn't even make RV air conditioners anymore. I have to say, living in the Florida heat, we have not had any problems. The air conditioner blows ice cold.
