RV Maintenance Many Owners Skip

In this video, I show you how I maintain the tires and plastic on my RV with Aerospace 303. It is natural for rubber seals to deteriorate over time, but applying the correct type of conditioner will help it last longer.

I also show the process of maintaining the slide out seals as well as clean up the Butyl tape that has oozed out over time. Butyl tape is commonly used at windows and other areas where two pieces adjoin. It is also common for the product to ooze out over time, and make things look unsightly. You can clean it up with a plastic razor blade and some mineral spirits. You do not need to replace it. If it is caulking, then you do need to replace it. Butyl tape has a consistency of strechy clay but sticky as well.
