Just finished watching Rustin on Netflix and I must say it is so good to see the Brother Outsider finally get his just due on the big screen. A prolific and powerful political strategist, activist, and organizer, he was the man behind your favorite man. Bayard Rustin was so ahead of his time—as the greats almost always are, but nevertheless he persisted. Hats off to the creative team behind the film for writing, casting, and directing a fantastic ensemble cast. Bayard Rustin defined intersectionality, boldly refusing to be unapologetic regardless of his race or sexual orientation. Great film.
