The latest attempt by Moscow to sow discord in the West has been exposed as a video discouraging Germans from supporting Ukraine.

The oneminutelong clip originally surfaced on several Germanlanguage Twitter accounts before being picked up by prominent Russian propagandists, who reshared it online, falsely claiming the hardright AfD party was behind it.

The video opens with a view of an idyllic, sunlit German street in “2023” before cutting away to the inside of a home where modestly dressed young parents sit on the sofa watching TV while their young son plays in front of them.
