Running The ESP32 Dali Clock On A Vintage Portable CRT TV

Follow
My Next Hobby

I saw this fun project by Marcio T. on Github where he ported over the Dali Clock code to run on an ESP32 with composite video output! The Dali Clock is a graphical clock code that was written in the late 70s.

I found this vintage portable CRT TV at a thrift shop a few months ago and thought the Dali Clock would look really cool on it!

After some testing and fiddling with the TV I was able to get the clock to display. It looks like the CRT may need to be adjusted as the bottom 25% of the display was blank. I have the service manual and need to find a time to open it up and adjust the CRT.
