On Christmas Day 1988, the Royal Family came together for their traditional Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh were joined by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother; Prince Charles, Prince of Wales; Princess Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward. Also present were Diana, Princess of Wales; Sarah, Duchess of York; Prince Edward, Duke of Kent; Katharine, Duchess of Kent; Angus Ogilvy; Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy, and royal grandchildren Prince William and Zara Phillips.
