On Tuesday, 4/16, Oso, a Royal Diamond Australian Labradoodle, with his owner, Ainsley, went to her moms elementary/middle school as part of their Autism Awareness celebration. She read this speech and then spoke about Oso and being a young adult with autism. They were both very proud. We at Royal Diamond are so proud of this young lady! “She has found her niche, talking about her “son”. The questions from the children were amazing too!”, her mom said! With the help of her mother facilitating, Ainsley got to answer questions about what a service dog is and what it’s like being a young adult with autism.
This video was recorded in front of the first group of students she spoke to that day who were in the 4th, 5th and 7th grades. She then spoke to 3 more groups in 6th and 8th, K4 and K5 and lastly 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. Oso accompanied her loyally and did great through each group talk that lasted about 20 minutes long. Great job Ainsley & Oso! We are so proud of your passion to educate others about Autism!!
