Law enforcement agencies in Rock County gathered at Rotary Gardens to honor the memory of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, coinciding with National Police Week events nationwide.

Since 1935, Rock County has mourned the loss of four police officers and one sheriff. Last year alone, Wisconsin witnessed the tragic deaths of three officers and one sheriff's deputy.

Lt. Jennifer Seeger of the Janesville Police Department emphasized the solidarity among law enforcement professionals, expressing support for families who have suffered the ultimate sacrifice.
