Robin's Puppies are 1 week old today!

Red Barn Cavaliers

Good morning! Robin's puppies are 1 week old today! We wanted to feature them on their own stream, and since Remy's puppies are needing the bigger pool anyway, we decided to swap Remy and Robin's locations. Thankfully, Robin and Remy are both very happy with the change! When Robin first came back inside, she ran in to the closet thinking her pups were in there. We only brought Robin in, just in case something like this happened. With Remy still outside, we followed Robin's lead. When she realized the puppies weren't hers, she didn't turn around and look for her litter. Instead, she gave each of Remy's puppies a headtotail bath and laid down to nurse them!

We hope you can join us for the livestream that follows! We are looking forward to catching up with everybody!

With warm hugs and cavalier kisses,
Elisabeth & Drew

Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! We invite the families and friends of our puppies 'into' our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so much more.

We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with a proactive approach that places an emphasis on their emotionalsocial development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding, so we nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further.

We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. The timing is important because as they get older, they crawl away from their nest to potty and poop so we want them to go to the pellets! Using this method, our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own without guidance within about two weeks of practice. By about 67 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray rather than wet themselves in their sleep (much like human babies!).

Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies starting as early as a week old, and how we nurture their training throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a welltrained puppy to their family.
