Thought I’d share my method of doing these which requires no attic entry yet is a clean install that appears original. This house was originally equipped with 4prong CFL externally ballasted bulbs. These bulbs are not as efficient, don’t last long, generate heat, and are not always easy to find one that matches your old. Not to mention aren’t very attractive. Here is a way to easily convert your fixtures in about 1015 mins per can without going into the attic.
