I restored a rusted Japanese sword 150 years ago. This Japanese sword was used by "Samurai".
First, the rough rust was removed with a # 240 whetstone.
Next, I sharpened the Japanese sword in the order of # 320 → # 1000 → # 2000 → # 5000 → # 8000.
The Japanese sword was too bright, so I applied "haze" with abrasive powder.
I made the scabbard and handle by hand. I didn't apply wax to leave the smell of wood.
I cut paper and radish to test the sharpness. It was amazingly sharp.
Thank you for watching till the end.

■Reflection points
I noticed when I was sharpening my sword, but the sword was slightly bent. For this reason, I had a hard time sharpening my sword. Next, I have to straighten the blade before sharpening the sword.
