So I was told we were going to look at a John Deere diesel tractor that had been sitting for quite some time... Turns out it was a FORD Tractor that actually had a GAS engine, but who's counting?
By the time we heard about it, they just wanted it gone and no one thus far could get it running for a long time, so the old beast just sat there... So the deal was, if we could get it running and move it out of there, it was ours... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
When you look at the backhoe on this tractor, take a REALLY good look, it's WAY too big for the tractor. Someone took a larger backhoe and did a TON of backwoods engineering and made themselves a way to attach it and make it work on this Ford 4400 Tractor. What they did is truly amazing and I love that about this tractor.
When you have a tractor and a backhoe attachment that's too big, what do you do, sell it and get a smaller one, NOOOOOO... You red neck that thing right onto the back of your tractor, hook it up, put those out riggers down and get RIGHT to diggin!! (at least that's what I would do!)
Join us on the journey bringing this old girl back to life, and moving it outta there! Should be fun!
