Replacing A Copper Hose Line With PEX Type B

Follow
Mike Krzesowiak

In this video, I am going to show you how to replace a copper hose line in a basement using PEX type B, crimp fittings and a push to connect fitting. The Freeze proof spigot in this 1893 home froze and burst which caused some flooding in the basement, since replacing the spigot we're also updating the copper line to that spigot with pex.

Additionally, I realize this video being shot on Jobsite conditions in a basement the footage showing how I made the PEX connections were not very well lit and thus difficult to see exactly what I was doing and how I was doing it, (@2:54) my sincere apologies for that. I hope to shoot another video more clearly showing how to make PEX connections with crimp rings as soon as I have another plumbing project.
