http://ventrac.com Xtreme Machine Solutions LLC in Grand Meadow, Minnesota used their Ventrac 4500 & EC240 sod cutter to make quick work of removing uneven turf sod from a practice football field. With the sod removed, they were able to properly level the field and get new grass on the ground.

Traditionally, sod removal is done by walkbehind machines, which makes removing this amount of sod very difficult. With the Ventrac sod cutter, Xtreme Machine Solutions was able to cut 24" wide strips of sod at a rapid pace, all from the seat of the tractor. The speed of the Ventrac kept a crew of workers with two large skid steers busy trying to keep up.

With a cutting depth of 0 to 21/2 inches, the Sod Cutter can be used to slice under thick lush grass or shave off dirt for work site preparation or irrigation trenching jobs.
