In this video I cover how to remove rust stains from gelcoat. This is part 2 of the 1983 Classic Boston Whaler Montauk restoration. This boat had a myriad of rust stains. Not unusual in a boat this age. Being that the inside is completely strips creates a great opportunity to address some of the cosmetic gelcoat issues you might see on an older boat.

Basically, I use two methods too remove the rust stains. I use goof off's rustaid as well as muriatic acid to remove the rust stains. This is not a bake off between the two. It's just intended to show you the differences between them and what to expect from each.
