My 35 yr old Waltco lift gate started to leak. Found out that the Hydraulic Cylinder Locking Pin had been installed backwards. Took me a while to remove it, but I came up with a novel way to get it out. Thought I should share. Should also help if you cant get the front lip of the retaining ring to clear the edge of the openng. Also somehelpfull tips to help with the repair of that leaky Hydraulic Cylinder. Saved me aroud $250.
