Around 700 Australians are told they have mesothelioma each year an aggressive cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

The diagnosis is heartbreaking enough, but many also face bills of up to $130,000 for treatment.

Now, those eyewatering costs will disappear, with two drugs being added to the pharmaceutical benefits scheme.
