This time I went around the town of HakoneYumoto.
It is a small spa town, so it is easy enough to get around on foot.
There are daytrip hot springs, good eateries, and inexpensive buses available, so I recommend looking around a bit before going up to Hakone.

There are also many reasonably priced traditional hot spring resorts here, so it is a good place to relax after a long day of travel.

Hakone Hot Spring Resort is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan with a 1200 year history. In the Edo period (16031867), common people developed hot springs as a form of tourism.
Hakone has a total of 20 hot spring resorts. The quality and efficacy of the springs vary widely.
HakoneYumoto is called the gateway to Hakone. It is also the oldest hot spring resort in Hakone Onsenkyo, which is said to have opened in the Nara period (710794).
There are more than 40 inns in Hakone, ranging from traditional inns to inns boasting delicious cuisine and baths. There are also many souvenir shops.

今回は私は箱根湯本の町を一周してみました。
小さな温泉町なので徒歩でも十分周れます。
日帰り温泉や良い食事処、格安のバスも出ているので、箱根に登る前に少し見て回るのをおすすめします。

ここにはお手頃価格の伝統的な温泉宿も多くあるので旅の疲れを癒すものいいですね。
