This week, I set up camp at Rock Lake Campground. It's north of Pillsbury, Minnesota. Unfortunately, this week I said goodbye to my former fatherinlaw. I have known him for most of my life. He has taught me so many lessons and will truly be missed. My girls are absolutely heartbroken with the loss of their grandpa. Although I have been divorced from his daughter for 12 years, we never lost the family connection.

I was not going to make a video this week. I didn't think I would be in the right frame of mind to turn on the camera. Then, Saturday morning, before the service, I was talking with my former brotherinlaw. (we have been best friends since elementary school) We reminisced about all the good times we had at Rock Lake. It was then that I realized the best way for me to honor the kid's grandpa would be to start a fire for him at one of his favorite campsites. He will truly be missed.

I am truly humbled by the regular viewers. I am so thankful for the awesome group of people who watch my videos. Not for shock factor of an exaggerated thumbnail and title. But instead for the love of nature and ability experience through my eyes what a real weekend of camping looks like.
