The months roll by and the wet season gives way to the dry. Only one of the Nsefu's cubs survives … the Dreamer. He’s a lonely little cub, with noone his own age to play with. But he does have older halfbrothers. They tend to ignore him… except for one. A timid loner who was once the runt, and who survived against the odds. He’s still the Misfit. These two brothers form a special bond. It’s an alliance that could be the basis of the coalition they’ll need if they are to make it as adult male lions in this unforgiving Valley. They see each other through adversity and when the Dreamer’s mother is injured, it’s the Misfit who comforts and cleans him.
