This is my first RSD ever because previous years it conflicted with the AXPONA audio show in Schaumburg outside of Chicago. This year it didn't so at my friend Raymond's suggestion, I went to Factory Records in Dover, New Jersey and I'm glad I did.

Factory opened three years ago. It's an amazing store. It has a huge inventory of new records and a decent selection of used priced reasonably. They also have an amazing collection of used audio gear—receivers, tape decks, turntables and loudspeakers.

I get there at around 8:30 AM and had to wait outside for quite a while to just get inside. They usher you into a lounge space where there's a stage for live shows, a classic 78rpm Wurlitzer juke box and a coffee bar. All the seats are "vintage" as well.

When they call you number a second time you get on the separate RSD line and you're allowed "one pass through" and only one of whichever records you choose. It was very well organized. After you've paid you can leave or peruse the rest of the store, which of course is what I did.

As you'll see, I met a guy who played in Bernie Burrell's band and was on some tracks on the RSD record Evan Toth reviewed RSD eve. Also met a guy who worked at Stiff Records in NYC "back in the day" and some other really interesting people. It as a fun time as you'll see in the video.
