We started the process of installing a custom shower pan. We decided to use penny tile and mortar.

We bought an RV. We bought a used 2001 Fleetwood Expedition Diesel pusher. It is in great shape. But we decided that we wanted to spend some time remodeling the interior. It's the perfect time for a project like this since almost everything is closed at the moment anyway.

We decided that we want to travel in an RV and be able to shower no matter where we are. RVs have holding tanks that naturally limit your ability to do things like showering when in remote places without access to water. So went searching for a system to help us solve that. There are plans floating around on the internet for a real time filtering, water looping shower system. We wanted to build one.

The problem is that there are plans for a scratch built systems out there that need a laser cutter. We don't have one of those. We needed to make it work with off the shelf parts. On top of that, we wanted to be able to bypass the whole system and use it like a regular RV shower for those times we have full hook ups. This led us to a months long search for the solution.

We ended up needed to do a little engineering to adapt what is out there to our needs. In this video we attempt to make everything fit and all the pipes connect. It wasn't easy, but I think it's going to work.
