Gary Yeager served as a Machine Gunner with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. After five months incountry, Yeager was wounded by white phosphorus and evacuated to the United States to undergo treatment.

A film crew accompanied Yeager’s platoon for thirty days, collecting film for a documentary about race relations titled “Same Mude, Same Blood.” It can be viewed here:    • Same Mud Same Blood
