RARE! 1962 Chevrolet CREW CAB factory conversion field find! And 1/2 ton suspension swap!
I had seen this 1962 Chevy crew cab from a distance but always heard it wasn't for sale. A subscriber got me in touch with the owner and I was able to strike up a deal to get it out of the pasture where it had been rotting into the ground for over 30 years. Although it is very rough it is a factory upfitter crew cab conversion that was done shortly after it was assembled by GM and then likely sold to the United States Air Force after being completed. Since there was no drivetrain and the suspension was very rough I decided to convert it to squarebody GM 1/2 suspension for several reasons. I hope to continue on with this project but I would entertain selling it in as seen condition. With a clear title in my name I'd like to get $4,500 for this rare pickup.
