How do you start with clicker training?

A clicker is a handy tool for marking desired behaviour so that the dog knows when they've got something right but how does a dog learn this in the first place? In Skyler's first clicker training session, we see just how quickly a very young puppy can learn to recognise the sound of the click as a good thing and how it can then be used as a handy training technique.
