After months of careful planning, lots of heavy equipment, and hard work I have finally completed this new gravel driveway . In this episode we used my 1995 Mack RD 688s triaxle dump truck to haul in ABC also known as crusher run, road bond, road base to cap the railroad ballast base on this new road install. I then used my 2015 m7060 Kubota tractor with box blade to finish grade and crown the driveway and to prevent water erosion during heavy rain storms.
As a bonus...in this video i provide a complete break down of how to properly and safely spread the material from the dump truck... a technique called "tailgating" that works very well with a skilled and experienced driver with steady nerves at the wheel.
