Helping each other! Prisoners at the Pendleton Correctional Facility work with cats who have been abused and neglected, and essentially not adoptable. The inmates offer the cats love and attention so they can find homes, and in the process the inmates learn about a good work ethic, responsibility and how to feel empathy, according to the facilitators. This is important in terms of how they behave within the prison and when they get out. Renee Jameson has this important story.
