WE HAVE WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! After planning for several years to one day live in #Italy, and waiting for what seemed like forever, the day finally came for us to attend our residency application appointments at the Italian Consulate in NY City to apply for our visas. At the appointment last month, the Consulate Officer informed us that we each had issues with our residency applications. Because of this, we both were almost sure that our residency visas would not get approved. After a very special afternoon where I wrote in my journal to my mother (who passed away 14 years ago), not five minutes later the phone rang and it was the consulate. They did not call with good news, but Richard did mention that I was pregnant and didn’t have much time left to travel internationally on a airplane.

The journaling and subsequent call happened on a Monday, and by Friday of the same week, September 16, 2022 to be exact, the same day my mother passed away 14 years ago, and also the same day as our first cat Maki's birthday, our passports were returned to us. A #residency #visa had been stamped in each passport, and our visas had been issued!!

We are going to Italy guys!!!!!!!!! We cannot believe it..
