Question of the Day: Is it legal to take a picture of somebody’s license plate and posted on the Internet?

There’s no expectation of privacy in anything you do in plain view of the public, and there’s nothing inherently illegal about taking a picture of a person’s license plate – assuming you’re not doing it while driving or using the images to harass the owner.

If legal questions were easy, we wouldn’t need lawyers.
