Well, I replaced the drive belt on this but the problem was not resolved. That meant I had to go back into this for additional repair. The lesson I learned is that I really need to be more thorough when working on this vintage equipment. Checking things more carefully will result in less time spent revisiting a previously repaired item. After this repair I found that this tape player works better than it ever has since I've owned it.
